Hi there! Rockamania has completed and it shows that you guys have learnt well. From your proper techniques and coolness, i was happy with your progress and performance. Credits to coach Suzanna and you guys. Tho we didn't get into finals, you guys showed potential. Keep up the good work!

NEW SEASON! 2009!

The new year started in a way that bodes well for the club.. we have a total of 13 new members attending the first training session yesterday (18th Jan 2009). Of this 13, we see quite a number with good potential to climb well and strong. We also experience a healthy enthusiasm for the first time in the club members, and i'm sure the seniors and the graduated members felt excited for that.

Would also like to welcome back coach Hatta. With his added portfolio as coach for ITE Simei, i'm sure we'll experience more fun and variety in training and achieving greater heights (figurative) fun through structured exchanges with our counterparts in College East.

Looking forward to the next training day! (hope i'll have time to join in the training)

Aaron Ong and Fazli took part in Rockamania XIV in the intermediate category. Though they did not make it to finals, they gave their best, and had a great time.

Sports Climbing Level One Course

Congrats to those who completed the Sports Climbing Level One Course!

Please take note that there will be a Sports Climbing Level One Course on the 11th June, Wednesday from 10am to 5pm at Climb Asia Climbing Centre.
Compulsory for all Rock Climbing Club Members.
After this course you will be Sports Climbing Level One certified, which means that you can go climb at any public rock climbing wall in Singapore.

Aaron Ong, DX and Sayyidi Afnan took part in the Men's Novice category of Boulderactive 2008 organized by the NUS Climbing Club on 21st March 2008.
Their rankings are:
Aaron - 89
Sayyidi - 105
DX - 120
out of a total of 125 competitors.
Not a bad result considering this is their first competition, how recently only have they started climbing and how little they train, and with a inexperienced make-shift coach that is me.
Well done guys! and work harder!
